General Info

This is the web page of the Astroparticle Physics Group [A.P.G.] of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Members of the Group were contributing since many years in activities related to Astroparticle Physics, namely, the CAST experiment at CERN, the ILIAS project, the nTOF experiment (neutron cross section measurements for nucleosynthesis).

Among the new scientific interests of the group are neutrino and high energy gamma ray astronomy.

The group started its participation to the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) project and submitted a proposal for funding to the "Thales" call, coordinating also the contributions from the Greek Institutes NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) and UoA (University of Athens). The proposal was not funded, for reasons not related to science and the contribution of the group to this leading scientific activity was frozen. At the moment, the group decided to focus on precision physics experimental efforts, such as the proton Electric Dipole Moment (pEDM).
